Both devices sport all the same internal hardware as their carrier branded counterparts. Being GE devices though, the UI enhancements from Samsung from TouchWiz and HTC Sense are stripped out. The HTC One does however keep its Beats Audio integration. Also, it does list the camera as being the HTC UltraPixel Camera. We haven’t seen it in action ourselves but imagine it won’t take quite the same quality of photos as the standard HTC One. Another thing to note is the lack of IR Blaster information listed on the spec sheets, but according to The Verge, Google promises that the IR Blasters will work on both devices in future updates. It is clear that the Samsung Galaxy S4 GE offers more sensors than the HTC One GE though.
Both devices are available for purchase right now, with the HTC One GE coming in at a cool $599.00 and the Samsung Galaxy S4 GE landing for $649.00 before tax. Both are expected to ship July 9th to anyone who picks one up now. Do we have any takers out there? Hit the links below to head right to each respective device.
