Google Music To Debut Later This Year

Google has come a long way providing instant access to just about anything. Google Music is set to debut later this year with a possible subscription service arriving in 2011. This year’s Google I/O showed us a little about their new music search capability as they emphasized Android integration.

There is still no word on if Google would be launching a similar iTunes desktop client, but we do know that Apple is planning on launching a cloud-based iTunes, so again this could be one more intense competition. Google’s plans on launching Google Music would not make Android its sole priority as the ultimate idea is to create an online retail superstore and as the music industry is obviously going to be happy as this would eliminate iTune’s dominance and would help the market.
