Google offers goes from email only to an official App

I personally feel like Google is the leader in all things that make life easier and aim to also save your hard-earned cash on things you like or want. Back in May they unveiled the Google Offers beta program. You simply put in your e-mail address and location and you were set. They would automatically send you email alerts with discount coupons and special promos for stores, restaurants, hotels and more in the area you specified. Of course the service is only available in 42 cities at this time, but the list continues to grow as Google makes new partnerships with retailers.

Today Google moved from an email alert system with online web support to an official Android application. The same principles apply. Upon first run they want you to sign up for the email alerts but those can easily be disabled in the settings. Like many others have found, you can find the same offers int he Google Shopper application. So if you are already using that app, then their really is no need to go install this one too. The email alerts are nice though, since I frequently forget to check on deals for the day.

If you are interested in checking out Google Offers and you location is a supported city, feel free to click or scan the QR code below and give it a whirl.
