It’s a story straight out of science fiction (quite a bit of what Google is working on seems to skirt with science fiction.) Â Imagine talking to your friend in China, and as you speak, your words get fed into a computer, translated into Chinese, and the other person on the line hears what you said, but in Chinese! Â It’s a rudimentary babel fish. Â Douglas Adams would be so proud. Â The ramifications for such communications is staggering, and perhaps equally difficult to engineer.
