Google turned out a number of updates yesterday that brought a lot of the new Material Design look and feel to more apps. While other updates were just some bug fixes and minor tweaks. The Material Design updates are the one everyone has been after though. The design changes came through for Google Drive, Google Wallet and Google Play Games. Another one we can add to the list is Google Play Books.
She certainly is pretty, isn’t she? Along with the design makeover there are a few little nice additions. A single tap, or a pinch-to-zoom action will pull you back from the book and place it in a film strip style view. While in that view you can grab the slider at the bottom to move more quickly through a book to get to certain sections faster.
The update is rolling out through the Play Store slowly to all of you that have the app installed. If you aren’t keen on waiting, we have the APK available for side-loading as well. Hit the appropriate link below and enjoy the new update.
