Google Plus app will be updating with Ice Cream Sandwich

Google has been making vast improvements to their apps and their OS over the last year. The market has received a few various updates, all bringing in various new features and bug fixes. They updated Google Docs and Google Shopper. With Ice Cream Sandwich on the horizon, it only makes sense that Google would be making some adjustments to some of their other apps too.

It appears as though there is a new version of Google+ included with ICS. Moving the app up to version 2.0 and including a ton of changes. The first change you might catch right off the bat is that little icon to the top right. At one time it was Huddle, then it changed to messenger and now it will be renamed for a third time to Chord. As you can tell from the screen shots, there is a new UI as well. It looks pretty clean and I am sure it has a whole lot more available then what you see in a few images.

Although the apk is some where in the wild, I haven’t been able to locate it just yet. I will continue to dig and keep my eyes open for it. It is said to be compatible with devices not on ICS, so don’t expect a to be left out of the loop when it finally goes officially live.
