There is one constant thing we can always count on Android for, notifications of app updates. Granted they aren’t always at the same time the app actually updates though. Seems as though a number of Google apps update yesterday, but my phone just now got around to telling me. Silly Galaxy S III. One app that I actually use quite often, more so to show it off and play about, is Google’s Shopper app. If you have never heard of it or seen it, the you really need to give it a whirl. The app allows you to use your devices camera to scan barcodes, recognize album cover art, and so much more.
The latest update out moves Shopper to version 2.6.  While the list for the new stuff is kind of small, it does offer up a few great new features. You can now filter weekly sales at featured local stores by category. This helps you look for sales on things you actually care about instead of a broad spectrum of items on sale. Improvements were added in for apparel shopping too. Now you can browse similarly visual apparel as compared to what you are already looking at. What would an app update be if it didn’t also include some performance and bug fixes.
So head into the Play Store and your ‘My Apps’ section to prompt for the update, or you can always just click or scan the QR code below. If you don’t have this app, you should give a test. You never know how much money you could save and spend all at the same time.
