We were all wondering when Google was planning on releasing a successor to their Nexus 7, and a new report suggests that will be in July. This is coming from Reuters, and they are reporting better hardware, as well as  a cheaper price tag.
So what will find in this second generation Nexus 7? Higher-resolution screen and a thinner bezel to start. No Nvidia in this sequel to the Nexus 7, Google decided to go with Qualcomm for their power needs. What kind of Qualcomm processor is still up in the air, but with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 hitting this summer, we can hope that it will be in this new Nexus 7. Odds are it will still have the 600, so I would not get my hopes up. The price of the new tablet is looking to be $149, which is a heck of discount if you ask me. Google is trying to compete with cheaper tablets it looks like, which makes my contemplate on getting one. No word yet on the exact date of this launch, but as soon as we find out, we will let you know.
