Its no surprise that a huge majority of us all have our favorite weather/clock apps. Most notably is Beautiful Widgets by LevelUp Studio‘s. With its hundreds of skins and various widget types, it is questionably the best one that exists in the market. You might say that the HTC Sense Weather is much better. After seeing a preview of the new Sense 3.0 I would have to agree with you, but that is limited to Sense, what about the rest of us Android users?
That’s where Animated Weather Widget&Clock comes in. This app was developed by Mobilityflow Arts. They have two versions available as most companies do, the free version and the PRO version. The pro version removes ads and gives you a full forecast. You have 2 choices in widget size, 2X1 and 4X2. As you can see in the images below, it resembles Sense and Beautiful widgets clock and skin.  You have the option to change the background image from any of the 5 provided or use your own image. When the animated weather is launched, you gain a 4 day forecast plus morning, noon and night. On the same screen you can see the wind speed, pressure and sunrise/sunset times. At least those are the ones I see on my screen in the FREE version. In the center image you can see chance of precipitation percentage and UV Class. I couldn’t find that in the settings, so I assume it is editable in the pro version or perhaps it changes on its own.
The developers have many more addition they are working on that will help drive this application to the number one spot –

- Weather for GPS location
- Improve video effects
- Local weather providers
- Skins
If they can improve the video effect just a little more then this could easily become my daily weather app. As it is right now, it has a few hick ups and stutters every now and again on my Vibrant. It is still extremely visually pleasing though. Add in more skins and this could take off quick and give Beautiful Widgets a descent competitor.
