Hey Siri! Meet Cluzee…the New Voice in Town

We knew it was coming. As soon as Apple’s Siri was getting all the hype it was only a matter of time before Android would have its version out. First there was Iris, which was conveniently just Siri backwards but it really did nothing but answer some questions and occasionally look up stuff on the internet. Obviously we would need something just a little bit better to match Siri’s intelligence.

So in comes Cluzee. Pretty wacky name if you ask me, but it has a cuteness to it. Cluzee was created by Tronton LLC, and is definitely the new kid on the block to take on Siri. According to the information I’ve gathered, it goes a little farther than Siri can go, by linking in health records, travel data, and also deals based on the preferences of the user. Yeah that is right. Cluzee will get inside your head.

“People are drowning in information overload,” said Ashish Patwa, CEO of Tronton, in a statement. “We don’t need all of the information available, all of the time. We just need the right information at the right time, which Cluzee intelligently provides, making us more productive. Technology created the problem, but we’re using smarter technology to solve it.” Bold words from the CEO. Fight fire with fire I guess than, huh?

I always found it funny how people would rave about Siri on their iPhones. “You can ask her the weather and she tells you!” Yeah my phone tells me as soon as I unlock it with a conveniently placed widgets right on my home screen but I have to “read” it. “I tell her to text my friend Heather a message and she does it for me!” Yeah my G1 did that, but again, did not talk back, but only asks to verify that I want to text this person this message. So yeah, really this kind of technology has been around for a while but having it talk to you and keep track of all your appointments, emails, and messages, as well as giving you traffic conditions and having a personal radio station helps too.

Now the only thing that is lame, is that not all devices will make the grade. Cluzee is for Android 2.1 and up but there is still a chance your device will not be able to download it. My poor G2 did not make it and I was sad for about two seconds. So will your device meet Cluzee’s needs? Even though I am providing the link to the market below, I would suggest just opening the market on your device, and typing in “Cluzee” to see if it pops up. If it does not, your out of luck. If it does, congrats on having a better phone than me.
