Honeycomb officially makes its way to the HTC Flyer

HTC Flyer

Owners of the HTC Flyer will be excited to learn that a major software upgrade has become available for their device. The Taiwanese computer manufacturer took to their Facebook page earlier this morning to announce that an Android 3.x (Honeycomb) update is rolling out to the GSM version of the tablet which is available in Europe. The update weighs in at 210MB and is labeled as version 3.55.405.1.

So, what about those who own the 16GB WiFi-only model? Unfortunately you’re going to have to wait a bit longer for your taste of Honeycomb. Have no fear though, as HTC has vowed that the update for your model is in the works.

Ready for some ‘sweet’ news? The GSM version of the HTC Flyer tablet, available in Europe, is beginning to receive updates to Honeycomb beginning today! Honeycomb brings a ton of improvements to Android on tablets, including the latest version of HTC Sense for Tablet with enhanced Internet browsing, Mail, Calendar and more all optimized for the 7″ screen. Not to be outdone, the WiFi version of the HTC Flyer will receive its Honeycomb update soon, too! Stay tuned for more details.
