The Pavilion does seem to have a few differences that could warrant the additional $80 price tag to some. The obvious difference is the 14-inch screen as compare to current markets 11.6-inch varieties. Although the resolution is the same at 1366 x 768. The specs also outline 2 GB DDR3 but that it is upgrade-able to 4 GB DDR3. It also offers 3 USB 2.0 ports and a RJ45 port for hardwired connections. We suppose we should mention the Altec Lansing speakers and HP TrueVision HD webcam. Other than that, this new Chromebook weighs more at about 4 pounds, and the battery life is rated at just 4 hours 15 minutes.
It does look pretty nice. Not sure how well it will sell when the competition offers something smaller, lighter and for quite a bit less. What do you guys think? Is the additional screen size enough to toss out the bucks for it, or does the shorter battery life and extra weight just kill it for you?
