After debuting at MWC 2011 back in February we’ve seen very little mentioned about the HTC ChaCha outside of a software leak last month. Although neither of HTC’s Facebook phones have landed in the US yet, it seems the European adopters have already being treated to the first round of OTA updates for the QWERTY sporting variant.
This new update bares a version number of 1.18.401.1 and brings a few new system and application enhancements. Since this update is being administered via OTA all ChaCha owners need to do is wait to receive the notification of an update being ready. For the impatient we’d assume that the same basic method can be used to try and grab it early by visiting “Settings>About Phone>Systems Updates” and seeing if it pops up. As with all updates it’s suggested that you use WiFi as it helps the process run a bit smoother.
