HTC continues to impress, Incredible 2 and Thunderbolt added to the ranks of unlocked Bootloaders

It seems that a new HTC device is added to the bootloader unlock system almost daily anymore. The bootloader tool is said to support all devices that were launched after September of 2011 with support for older devices still in the works. I know we saw a lot of comments roll through when that statement was announced. Seems as though not everyone was pleased to hear the news. Not sure why, it was great news for the community.

As the days and weeks progress though, HTC will continue to add devices to the bootloader tool. Very recently they added the Droid Incredible 2 and the Thunderbolt to ranks. If they keep this up, they should have nearly all devices of any importance covered in the next couple of months. I am still personally impressed with their dedication and action on this matter. Maybe someday the rest of the OEM’s will follow suite.
