HTC Desire hits T-Mobile UK

T-Mobile UK has launched the HTC Desire. As you can see in the image below you can pick up the HTC Desire for free, which is a great deal. Loaded with Android 2.1 with Sense UI, you just can’t go wrong with this device. The specs appear to be the same as the Nexus One, minus the radio. Now, if they could get this deal over here in the U.S. I think this phone would be huge, especially given if they provided it free. Now on to the part everyone cares about.

What’s in the box:

  • Battery
  • Charger
  • USB Cable
  • Software
  • Memory Card 4GB
  • Standard Headset

All the same accessories as the Nexus One, which is expected. But the price was not.

Besides the phone the 35 Quid buys 1200 minutes and 500 texts per month. Other contract models include a £10/month plan with an initial cost of £164 for the phone. At 100 minutes and 100 free SMS this plan seems markedly more expensive. Both plans come with unlimited internet access. Check here for additional pricing models. Oh, so contracting isn’t for you? Well check Play.com and own this beaut outright for a mere £439.

If this phone hits the U.S. would you switch even if the device was not free? Let us know in the comments below.
