The HTC Desire has started receiving Android 2.2 and the update was limited to “unlocked” devices. “Locked” Desire owners are asking where’s their update and Orange has an answer.
It normally takes longer for “branded” devices to receive the update so that the carrier can add its own finishing touches. For Orange users, Mr. Maples says your going to have to wait another four weeks before you can start to see yours. That time frame is not set in stone so you could be receiving the update earlier, but it could also be later.
