The days keep winding down, as we all wait patiently for the HTC press event on February 19th. Rumors have been flying at us at a steady rate, and the latest rumor about the HTC M7 is that it will not feature the 13-megapixel camera we originally thought it was going to have. Instead, it is supposedly going to rock a 4.3 “ultrapixel” camera. Put the word “ultra’ in the mix and we get intrigued.
So what is this ultrapixel madness all about? Basically the M7 will have a 4.3 ultrapixel sensor consisting of three 4.3-megapixel sensor layers, one for each primary color, which combine to form a single image. So pretty much it will be 13 megapixels but with these three layers the picture will come out sharper than usual. Sounds pretty exciting. When HTC released the One Series phones, the camera was definitely the high selling point when it came to those phones. Looks like HTC is trying to take the camera phone to the next level yet again. Let us know what you guys think.
