So the big news of the “Senseless” HTC One dropped, and some of you out there that have already purchased one might have a bad taste in your mouth. Sure, you can just unlock it and throw some CyanogenMod on there and be all set, but that is pain of it. HTC’s bootloaders are no walk in the park when it comes to unlocking, thats why this Google Edition One seems to be the better way to go. You guys still might have a chance for some AOSP.
HTC might make stock Android available for those existing HTC One users out there, once they drop the Google Edition One. Only question I have is, will you still have to unlock the bootloader to after downloading the stock version? Odds are…yes. Unless they figure out a way to do it without having anything unlocked, users will still have to go through the process of dealing with the bootloader. There are many step by step tutorials out there though, so if you decide to get stock Android on your HTC One, you just might have to take half the day out to get it flashed nice and pretty on your phone. Let us know what you guys think about this.
