HTC Car uses voice recognition software for accessing local business information, navigation and music streaming. The app will also read text messages aloud and let users respond without having to manually control the device.
“HTC’s global customers inspired the design and features of the new HTC One – they crave connectivity and access everywhere they are. HTC Car was designed to keep consumers connected to people, places and content in the most natural way we communicate – with our voice,†said Thomas Ho, director, product division, HTC in a press release.
AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile are currently selling the One. AT&T is selling the 32GB model for $199 and the 64GB for $299. Sprint is selling the 32GB model of the One for $199. T-Mobile is selling the 32GB version for $99 on the company website, but it is expected the One will show up in stores on April 24.
