What happens when Apple continuously tries to sue Samsung, but gets nowhere and realizes they should not do such things since Samsung makes their screens for their devices? Why they go after the next manufacture in line. Unfortunately that company is HTC. And, oh yeah, “they have new phones coming into the country so they must be stopped! They are so much better than ours!” That might have not been an exact quote, but I imagine it was something like that behind closed doors.
The HTC One X and EVO 4G LTE are delayed indefinitely at US customs due to Apple’s win on banning the importation of HTC Android devices at the International Trade Commission. You know how when you type someone’s number in a text, or type a web address and a hyperlink appears for them to click on? Yeah that is what this absurd  patent infringement is all about. Patent #5,946,647 to be exact. Well this ban was delayed so HTC can find a way around this Apple patent, but April 19th came around and the ban took effect. Now even though HTC said this patent was a “small UI experience”, the two different devices are being looked at before they are allowed into the country. We welcome anyone in this country, but phones are being withheld at the borders because Apple ran by the devil.
The US availability of the HTC One X and HTC EVO 4G LTE has been delayed due to a standard U.S. Customs review of shipments that is required after an ITC exclusion order. We believe we are in compliance with the ruling and HTC is working closely with Customs to secure approval. The HTC One X and HTC Evo 4G LTE have been received enthusiastically by customers and we appreciate their patience as we work to get these products into their hands as soon as possible.
Now the ITC was handed down before the One X was announced at Mobile World Congress. The ITC has prohibited importation of HTC “personal data and mobile communications devices”. It is all just lame, and sickening as I have read the details for it. Pretty much makes me sick to my stomach since I have always been a loyal HTC fan. I have even sold friends on getting the One X and the Evo 4G, and since AT&T is out of stock and the EVO was right around the corner for its release; they are now S.O.L. because Apple has no innovation and just sue over spilled milk.
So thank you Apple for delaying two much more awesome and supremely better phones (its science)  over a silly patent that not a lot of people even care about. I do not even think anyone does at all to be honest. Enjoy your new drop down notification bar, and voice activation controls (that you did not rip off at all) for your atrocious OS that has not changed since its debut.
