HTC One X Getting an Update to Fix that Menu Button Issue Finally

I think the biggest gripe us users of the HTC One phones have, is the fact that the menu button was lost somewhere between first design and final product. Some people might have gotten pushed away from purchasing one of the HTC One phones, simply due to not having that menu button. Some of us did look passed it, and if you have rooted your phone, the developers out there created some tasty ROMs that allowed us to use the recent app button as our menu button.

AT&T and HTC have decided to finally mend this design flaw, and an OTA update is on its way out to bring you the menu option on the HTC One X. This update allows you to go into your settings to choose whether you want to keep the button as recent apps, or if you want it as your menu button. Another option they have added, is the ability to have both choices. Recent apps for quick press, or menu for long press. That way it is like having four buttons again. Happy day here at last?

So give it time for those of you with an unrooted One X, and for those of you that have yours rooted, proceed with caution as always with any OTA update on a rooted phone. Let us know if you have received the update.
