In the world of alternative keyboards, Swype has dominated the scene for quite sometime. It isn’t fer everyone and some people immediately install something else if it is the pre-loaded keyboard option. No matter what your preference is,
Swype will always be a big player in Android. One complaint that many have stated is the lack of
Ice Cream Sandwich support. Not having the ability to install it on the Galaxy Nexus or devices sporting an ICS port, left many users angry and frustrated.
Swype isn’t sitting on their hands though. They have been working hard since the launch of ICS and now state they are close to having their keyboard available for it. According to a tweet a few days ago, they are readying the update as we speak. They also make mention that it will have other goodies along with the update. We could hope that it means it will make it to the Android Market, but we assume it will be themeing options of some sort.
Be sure to keep an eye for the update and don’t forget to register with Swype for latest news from them directly. Hopefully the new update and the goodies will be landing soon.
