ICS update for Droid Razr and Razr MAXX official, just not out Yet

I know a lot of you stock Motorola DROID RAZR and DROID RAZR MAXX users have been eagerly waiting for your Ice Cream Sandwich update. Heck, a lot of users for a lot of devices have been waiting for your update. But these two devices have seen leaks and test updates that point to a release soon. While we can’t tell you that the update is rolling out, we can tell you that Verizon has posted up the PDF on their site all about the update. Judging from previous trends and PDFs being posted, that means the update is right around the corner. That should also mean that the tester version went well enough to roll it out to all users. This is great news for those of you waiting for it.

The PDF mentions a few things that are note worthy though. The file could take anywhere from 20 to 70 minutes to download, based on your data connection at the time, we always recommend Wi-Fi of course. Also, the file size is is roughly 354MB’s and during the install your phone will be rendered useless. So don’t plan to make the update on your lunch break if you need your phone for work. Of course the good news is that it will be coming through via an OTA in the very near future. If any of ou see it pop up, we would greatly appreciate an email, G+ or twitter alert that it is rolling out. Until then, check out the PDF file dropped by Verizon that explains everything. Also, you may want to visit Motorola’s site for ICS videos and information about your update ahead of time.
