Images of the physical Google Play Gift Cards surface in $10 & $25 Options

Last night we got some great insight that determined Google is prepping up Gift Cards for the Play Store. We were pretty excited to see that as we are sure many of you were too. Now a new set of images have come to light that show off the physical packaging of the upcoming cards themselves. All sealed up and apparently ready to ship to stores across the nation. The images depict a $10 card and a $25 dollar card. We are sure there other higher denominations either in the works or already created.

You can see they made the card packaging pretty basic but to the point. Any Android users out there knows exactly what that triangular logo stands for as well as many people who aren’t Android users. If you plan to ask the non-techy in the family to snag you a card for the holidays or your birthday, you might have to tell the ‘Google Play card with a big colored triangle on it.’

Now when and where are they going to be available. We would assume that they should be shipping out soon, or already are. We are also going to assume that Google plans to stick these right next to Amazon, Barns & Noble and iTunes gift cards across the nation and hopefully across the globe. Which in our minds would be Safeway, Best Buy, Wal-Mart and all other major retailers who are already in the gift card market. No doubt you will have some way to order them online as well and have them either shipped directly, or possibly just get a code delivered to someone’s email inbox for redemption.

So much more to know and so little information. With the latest Play Store update and now the gift cards surfacing though, it looks like it could all be unveiled really soon. Here is to hoping for release by the end of August.
