If you’re an Iron Maiden fan and a gamer, this news is going to make you want to rock out. Announced earlier today, Roadhouse Interactive is making Iron Maiden Legacy of the Beast, an “action-packed, free-to-play RPG steeped in Iron Maiden mythology.” The game will feature Iron Maiden’s entire album library and sees you assume control of Iron Maiden’s mascot, Eddie the Head. If you’re a big fan of Iron Maiden’s album art and general art style, you’re in for a treat as the game will draw heavily from these influences.
But it’s not all just rehashing Iron Maiden’s known music – there are also going to be unheard recordings of Iron Maiden used in the game “adapted for the game by engineer Tony Newton under the close scrutiny of bassist and founding member Steve Harris.” Iron Maiden Legacy of the Beast is due for release this Summer for Android and iOS though it’s unclear whether the game will require a once-off payment or will follow the free-to-play model that most mobile games tend to take. Regardless, if you’re any kind of Iron Maiden fan, this looks like one to look forward to.
