Is Google Planning on Buying T-Mobile?

Let’s say were in George Orwell’s classic novel “1984“.  In that sense, Google would be Big Brother.  Google has been taking over the Mobile and Cloud technology industry, especially with the purchase of Gizmo5.  With the release of the Nexus One, Google Buzz, and a Possible Operating System for computers titled Chromium OS.  What else do they have on their agenda?  It’s quite possible they might be looking to buy T-Mobile.

Now this is merely speculation, nothing more.  However Google might be thinking about partnering and or buying a mobile carrier company.  I did get confirmation yesterday that T-Mobile’s parent company, Deutsche Telekom, is planning on selling the company.

I honestly don’t think a major deal like this will go through anytime soon.  If it does end up happening, it will take years for it to be finalized.  I honestly don’t think Google should be looking at buying a Carrier, but a manufacturing company instead.  Let’s say HTC?

What do you guys think will happen?  We here at AndroidStory want to know what the users are thinking about all these rumors flying around the blogosphere.  Leave a comment and let us know!
