Another codename has come up dubbed the Everest and we’re unsure if this is the same device or if these tablets are going to be separate versions like a 10-inch form factor and a 7-inch form factor, remember the Stingray? Droid-Life has quoted text from Motorola CEO Sanjay Jha which highlights tablet talk in two form factors, so are the Stingray and Everest the two he’s talking about in the statement below?
“I think that a companion 7- to 10-inch device in a home will become very important, [both] as an augmentation to your TV experience [and] also as a way of walking around the house and streaming TV to that device,†Jha said. “I think we’re very focused in participating in this convergence that’s coming between mobility and home, and I think you will actually see some products from us in a very short period of time.â€
In another development about that Tegra 2 phone by Motorola, the guys over at Android and Me have been doing their homework, especially as we’re all trying to get to the bottom of this Tegra 2 story in hopes of uncovering the latest superphone which Taylor from Android and Me has dubbed the “Terminator.” Sounds fitting right?
The name Olympus has also come up a couple of days ago showing the model number MB860. According to the twitter account @Androidevicespy which tweeted the following back on August 30th:Last night, Taylor posted a new development which seems to have added Android tablets to the mix and by tablets we mean a 10-inch and 7-inch tablet that could be running that NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor. According to one of Android and Me’s sources, apparently AT&T and Motorola have teamed up to bring the world the first dual-core phone running Gingerbread.
The “Terminator” will be hitting various carriers and there are still many pieces to this puzzle. Hopefully soon we can start seeing work from Mr. Blurrycam showing any of these new devices. What do you all think about what could possibly be coming out of Motorola?
