Is this the Nexus Prime we have been eager to See?

As the months and seasons change we all sit back and idly wait to see what is in store for us for the holiday season. We know a few things happen every year. A ton of new devices get launched, last years models go on huge sales and there will be a new ‘Nexus Prime‘ device coming from Google. It happens every year. A few months after the newest Google branded devices are launched, the rumors of the next one start to float around.

There is a Samsung unpacking event planned for next week and everyone is fully expecting to see the Nexus be unveiled then.  The image you see is a partial shot of what GSMArena is calling the Nexus Prime. You can easily see the lack of hardware buttons that have been replaced by on-screen controls which is what Ice Cream Sandwich is supposed to bring. As expected they look similar to the ones you can find on a Honeycomb tablet. The pixels listed are 1184 X 720. That is not the 1280 X 720 we have heard about in the rumors of this device, but speculation is that it is only reflecting the actual viewing area. That excludes the status bar and the on-screen buttons.

We are still eagerly waiting to find out if the device will be using the PenTile matrix or not. You can easily tell it has the typical Samsung design, the black with silver edges. I am fairly certain that on the top left you can see a silver button that should be the lower half of the volume rocker.

I know many of your are eagerly waiting for this device to finally be announced. So are we. We will keep our eyes peeled for more information and surely be watching the Samsung event that is on the way.
