Well here is something random that came about today. A prototype Samsung device, not running Android but running an OS called “Tizen”. What is Tizen? Pretty much a simplified, TouchWiz looking OS that really is not pretty at all. Then again this is just a prototype so there is not much to expect here.
The guy in the video goes over the features of Tizen, and when you watch the video you can see it is very basic. No animation transitions, no widgets, almost looks like someone put a TouchWizzed Windows 98 on it. The phone itself is pretty thick, and I almost thought this was a video from 5 years ago. See for yourself down below. Is Samsung going to try to steer away from Android and use their own OS? Doubtful, but they are up to something.
