We all knew Verizon would be launching the Nexus 6 eventually. We heard rumors of a March 12th launch date, but until today, they were just that, rumors. This morning Verizon took to the net and made the announcement official. The 6-inch, 2.7GHz quad-core toting thing of beauty will make its debut online on March 12th and Verizon will have it in stores on March 19th.
The Nexus 6 will set you back $249.99 on a new two-year contract or $27.08 a month on the Verizon Edge program. As an added bonus, those who purchase the device before March 31st will also get 6 months of Google Play Music All Access for free. While not mentioned in the news release, I have also heard that March 12th will also be the release date for Android 5.1 Lollipop for the Nexus 6 as well. Which made sense to me since the Android 5.1 brought along HD Voice support and Verizon and T-Mobile both support it.
