Kairosoft’s Dungeon Village on sale for half Off

Kairosoft is a rather large simulator game developer. They started off their dominance on Android with Game Dev Story and have since produces many games that we are sure you have picked up like Kairobotica, Pocket League Story, Mega Mall Story, Cafeteria Nipponica or Grand Prix Story. That’s just to name a few titles they have on the Play Store. All of them have some sort of theme where you control something and build it from the ground up. Most of them have time limits set in years to see how well you managed the game theme. You can always progress past that time frame and keep playing for as long as you want, or start a new game and try your hand at a better overall score. They are always highly addictive and usually help you kill a few hours without noticing.

Kairosoft released a new game to the Play Store recently called Venture Town. Essentially you start out with a small town and build it to a metropolitan utopia. Building stores, mansions, towers and a plethora of other things to help you achieve success. People are saying it is a direct rebuild of oh!Edo Towns. Which it sounds and looks like it could be, but the difference is the time period, oh!Edo Town is set in Edo period Japan, where Venture Town is a bit more modern.

Why all this useless back story? Because with the launch of Venture town, Kairosoft put Dungeon Village on sale for half off. Not sure how that comes about. Possibly because the town in Dungeon Village is called “Venture Town’. Dungeon Village puts you in charge of a small village on the outskirts of a monster plagued landscape. You will encounter various monsters, dungeons and various other quests to help you build up your towns popularity and ranking in the adventurer world. You have to build training facilities, various shops, and housing for adventurers that wish to call your town home.

The RPG aspect of the game is pretty entertaining and time-consuming. You can toss items into a cauldron to create new weapons, magical spell books and various other things that can be sold at the various shops or gifted to your favorite adventurers. Gifting items helps increase their satisfaction and love for your town and their skills. Needless to say, the more powerful your adventurers are the quicker they can clear quests and defeat the invading monster hordes.

  It does become rather addicting and is a lot of fun. Managing a whole town, plus the people in it is a challenge. The game controls are pretty simple and easy to get used to, just like all their games. If you have played other Kairosoft games, but don’t have this one in your collection, we definitely recommend you pick it up while it is on sale. Be prepared for some interesting battles and a lot of charging your device from playing for too long.
