Looks like Federico Carnales, the mind behind LauncherPro, has released a new update to the market just yesterday. This moves the current build to V0.8.3. He must have felt the pinch from AnderWeb and his ADW.Launcher EX application. The latest update to LaunchePro, now includes a few screen transition effects.
Now, about the newly released LauncherPro v0.8.3, it brings one new, highly requested feature for all users:
- Homescreen transition effects – You can now choose different transition effects to be used when moving through homescreens. Currently there are four effects on top of the usual side scrolling: Scale, Rotate, Flip, and Cube. More effects will come in future updates. (Menu > Preferences > Homescreen Settings > Transition effect
He has included 4 new transitions in addition to the standard Android scroll. Scale, rotate, flip and cube are now available. What makes this so great right now, is these new features were added into his FREE version of the application. Way to go Federico! He has many more updates coming in the next week or so and has a few special things planned for his LauncherPro Plus users.
