I’m a huge fan of LEGO Star Wars games; it goes without saying that I’m a fan of Star Wars, but the LEGO games bring their own charm and take on the franchise that is refreshing and unlike some parts of the Star Wars franchise, consistently has high quality, new content. Last month, LEGO Star Wars finally came to Android with The Yoda Chronicles and was available for the grand total of zero dollars. So why are we only mentioning it now?
There was actually quite a lot of confusion when The Yoda Chronicles went live on the Play Store. When our friends over at Android Police tried to download the game, even with their vast array of devices (and I mean vast), it was only available to install on their Transformer Prime TF-201. Confused? Well, it was only a week later that the Play Store page was updated to say that the game will be an Xperia exclusive from 17 May to 14 June 2013, followed by a full release to all devices on the 15th of June.
That doesn’t entirely explain why the game is available to very select devices that aren’t Xperia devices, but at least it makes a bit more sense now. Until the 15th June, we’ll just have to tide ourselves over with gameplay trailers like this:
