Lenovo’s Smartphones are Coming to America

lenovoLenovo hasn’t had the easiest of transitions in the technology industry due to the steady decline of PC sales, but they look to be changing up their game. Lenovo smartphones have never been officially sold in the States, but from what Lenovo CEO Yang Yuanqing has told the Wall Street Journal, this is going to change by the end of this year.

While Lenovo has had very solid growth in rapidly expanding markets, like China, Russia and India, they haven’t felt the need to enter the hotly contest U.S. market till now. While it was the only PC vendor to avoid a decrease in PC shipments this financial quarter, the only way for the company to expand further is to enter the American market. Besides, they’re already using American sport royalty in their commercials.

While there is a saturation of different handsets in the U.S., Lenovo’s handsets will spoil us even further for choice as their devices are often very high quality and well designed; look no further than the Lenovo K900 (seen above) to get an idea of what will probably be brought to the table.

What do you think of this move? Would you consider buying Lenovo? Give us your opinion.
