Let the Video Battle Begin: HTC Desire HD vs. EVO 4G

Myriam Joire from Engadget has posted the video fight of all fights. She has pitted the HTC Desire HD aimed at the European and Asian markets against the Sprint EVO 4G . The video does a great job of comparing the phones from their size, displays, cameras, flash and everything else.

The first thing to note is that the Desire HD has a uni-body aluminum design compared to the EVO’s plastic feel giving an overall better build quality and feel, anyway!!  The battery cover and the SIM / SD Card slots on the Desire HD are covered with small plastic pieces that are apparently very difficult to remove and easy to break.  Not a great design by the sounds of it.

It’s funny to look at the differences manufacturers make to the devices as time goes on.  Someone somewhere obviously has different tastes and ports and connectors get moved all around the devices.  Are they better ergonomically? Who knows. I think the location of ports and connectors is more of a personal preference.

I won’t go into it too much more as you can check out the video comparison for yourself below:

When you’re done, you can also head over to Engadget and see some additional still photos to compare.
