LG has been very quiet with anything Android, until now. Information has started to appear on the net about the new NextGen SmartPhone from LG that features a 1GHz SnapDragon Processor the same as the Google Nexus One. The best part of the latest round of news is this device will feature a full hardware keyboard, the first of the NextGen Android Devices to feature this. This alone could make this a high demand device. The only weird thing about the keyboard, as you can see from the photo below, is the placement of a trackpad on the right hand side which may make it a little awkward to type on. Only time will tell.
The LU2300 is slated for release in Korea in late April or early May. No information on whether it’s coming state side or not.
The phone is also rumored to feature a 3.5†AMOLED screen touch screen with a 480×800 resolution, 720p HD DivX compatible output and will be running Android 2.1. They have added their own custom UI on top of the base Android which is not easy to miss.
AndroidPolice have gathered some information together and created a nice post with a summary of the new device.
