Thanks to some work done by XDA member stormageddon, no this is not me, all you T-Mobile LG G2x owners can partake in some MIUI usage. He essentially took the current build supported by MIUI.us for the LG Optimus 2X and ported it over. You can expect all the standard MIUI features and attributes like themeing, layouts and oodles of control that many of us MIUI users have been enjoying for a while. Although there is an addition that makes this an even more attractive build, WiFi calling that works.
The developer has 2 builds available. The first version offers you the best battery life possible, G2x owners have struggled with battery life for a while now. The second build includes an overclocked kernel to bump things up if you are more concerned with speed than with battery life.
As for any known issues, not many. He reports everything is working and if it doesn’t he included a patch file download just in case. If you have never seen MIUI or tried it out yourself, you might find it worth your wild. It takes a couple of days to get used to it but is well worth the learning curve. To check it out and get the files needed to flash you G2x, head over to stormageddon’s XDA thread.
Happy Flashing, let us know how it goes if you take the plunge.

Update – Thanks to a very perseptive commenter, we just learned a little bit more regarding the MIUI to G2x ports that are out there.
Salah Ahmed
I find it necessary to provide credit where its rightly due. WhiteHawks did the first ports (1.7..ish) and managed builds weekly until last in Dec’ 11. WhiteHawks (Team Kang), due to his move to a GNexus, could no longer do that so he wrapped a nice document to port O2X MIUI to G2X. There have been numerous kangers with their own versions of the MIUI port for the G2X since. In fact, there are at least five different MIUI roms created by various devs.

Thanks for the information Salah. We don’t always see everything that is going on around the development community and we appreciate you pointing us to where it all started. We like to credit who does what as much as possible.
