LG looking to bring 5-inch Optimus Vu to U.S. this Quarter

Today LG announced that their 5-inch Android toting phablet type device, the LG Optimus Vu, has surpassed 500,000 units sold in South Korea. The Vu sports a 4:3 aspect ratio1024 x 768 5-ich display, a 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm S4 processor, 1 GB of RAM, 8MP camera, 32GB internal storage and Ice Cream Sandwich. It looked to be LG’s answer to the Samsung Galaxy Note.

Alongside their sales announcement, LG also tossed in a little news for the U.S. They have plans to the bring a LTE toting version overseas and sell it here in the states. They didn’t leak out which carrier was inline to launch it first, but with AT&T and T-Mobile having the Note already, we would expect Verizon to grab this one up to offer something a little different to their customers.

The real question is will you guys look to buy one. Sure it has the Qualcomm S4 vs. the S 3 in the Note, and it also has 32GB of memory, which also out does the Note. But the resolution is slightly lower on the screen. We would really have to get them side by side for a comparison before we leaned either direction. Any thoughts from our fellow Android readers out there?
