LG looking to bring its own S Voice/Siri/Majel competitor to Market

Talking in your phone for conversation purposes just isn’t enough to make your phone cool. Now everyone and their dog wants to give us a voice recognition system so we can tell our phone what to do. Be it out of convenience or just plain laziness, it is the next big offering in the mobile sphere. We have all heard about Siri from Apple, S Voice from Samsung and rumors of Google’s Majel being ramped up for a Google I/O relelase. LG is also looking to get into the voice recognition business with Quick Voice.

Similar to all the rest, Quick Voice will facilitate a verbal commands from you to make voice calls, write and send text, open contacts, create alarms, get calendar event information and set events, supports weather, web search, other natural conversations and verbally access and interact with 11 other applications. The new Quick Voice software is said to be hitting up overseas LG Optimus devices through a software update between the end of June and sometime in July.

Personally I have tried a handful of different voice recognition apps and services. When they actually understand what i am saying they are great, but more for showing off than actual daily use for me. What do you guys think? Are these kings of systems something you would use everyday as much as possible, or are you more like me and think they are more of a novelty.
