Yesterday numerous sites (including our own) posted that there were rumors that LG was halting the Nexus 4, and that they were planning on producing the Nexus 5. I actually wrote our article about this subject, and wondered why the same OEM was going to make the next Nexus phone. These rumors were soon debunked by LG, when they responded to the Nexus 4 rumor with,  “domestic Pyeongtaek manufacturing plant has been producing the Nexus 4 without a hitchâ€, meaning their are no plans of any stopping of the production of the Nexus 4. They then responded to the Nexus 5 rumors as “unfounded”, and that LG has yet to finalize any product plans for MWC. With that, the Nexus 7.7 tablet rumor was not addressed, so maybe those rumors were sort of true. Time will tell.
I am glad LG spoke up and debunked these rumors. The Android Community can literally roll a small snowball down a hill and cause that snowball to become a huge ball of destruction. It keeps us on our toes though. Excitement for new devices is what makes the tech world go round, and I just HOPE HTC plans to step up and makes the next Nexus device. Let us know what you think.
