LG U+ caught on camera showing off its HD Display

The LG U+ is one of those devices that only international companies could dream up and create. Sad for the US since they usually get all the good stuff long before it ever hits states side. What makes this device so appealing is the spec sheet. Boasting a 4.5″ LCD IPS HD display with 1280x720p resolution, 1.5GHz dual-core snapdragon processor, 8MP rear camera with LED flash and the standard 1.3MP VGA front facing camera. With a device packing so much inside, they didn’t skimp on the battery. The LG U+ will have a 1830mAh battery to keep it up and running. The device will be launching with Android 2.3.5 and is said to be fully ready to update to Ice Cream Sandwich shortly after Google releases it.

This device is scheduled to launch in Korea in the very near future. According to pocketdroid, it should be in consumers hands in early October.

Some people are already labeling this as the ‘Galaxy S II  killer’ device. After all, it does have some incredible specs that would make anyone envious of it. The real question is, will this device come out of the gates on top or suffer from mediocre sales? I know I am eyeballing it, but after the poor experiences I have read surrounding so many other LG Android devices, I am leery.

We still aren’t sure if this powerhouse will be headed stateside anytime soon. If it were to hop a plane and fly over for a visit, would you sell your kids to snag one?
