AT&T made an announcement earlier today that confirms they will indeed be stocking the LG Watch Urbane. The don’t offer any additional details about pricing or launch dates though. The LG Watch Urbane is the newer all metal round Android Wear watch from LG. It is very similar the previously released LG G Watch R, but with better materials and a slimmer profile. It packs in the standard 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, 410mAh battery, 1.3-inch P-OLEDÂ display and a PPG sensor for average pace, speed, heart rate and distance tracking.
“AT&T is excited to add the LG Watch Urbane to its industry leading selection of wearables. LG Watch Urbane combines the style of a classic timepiece with the latest technology that makes it easy to stay connected on-the-go. It’s stylish, cutting edge and convenient, so you can wear it to nearly any occasion and still receive notifications that matter most.†– Jeff Bradley, senior vice president, Device Marketing and Developer Services, AT&T Mobility.
It is unlikely that AT&T will be the sole carrier to offer the watch in stores and online. I haven’t seen anyone else put out a release noting it yet though. Anyone putting their Android Wear ambitions on hold until this one releases?
