If you live and breath Google Maps then you must have used the Live Traffic service a time or two. While the service might be limited to major populated areas, it is a great tool to have at your disposal. When ever I do leave the comforts of my small town, where traffic is never an issue, I rely on the Live Traffic to keep me from getting stuck on the freeway for hours. Very few things erks me more than sitting in traffic. As of now, Google is rolling out the Live Traffic feature to seven new countries and expanding the service in nineteen more.  The new countries added are –

  • Belarus
  • Estonia
  • Latvia
  • Mexico
  • Peru
  • Romania
  • South Africa

New country additions are nice, but what about the expanded areas. Expanding nineteen current areas is going to help a lot of people get around a lot faster and with less stress. Here is where you will you find extra streets and traffic information –

  • Australia
  • Belgium
  • Brazil
  • Denmark
  • Finland
  • France
  • Germany
  • Israel
  • Italy
  • Japan
  • Netherlands
  • New Zealand
  • Puerto Rico
  • Russia
  • Spain
  • Sweden
  • Taiwan
  • UK

The updated traffic info is already available to everyone online or via your Android device. No app updating required. If you happen to be in need of the service today and are in any of the mentioned locations, give it a test and see what you think.
