Logitech Revue with Android 3.1 advertised via Dish Network, but where is the Update

I know I am not the only one that hits the system update section of their Logitech Revue a few times a day. A few weeks ago, the update hit the Sony box’s bringing them up to date to Honeycomb 3.1, Google TV 2.0. Shortly after those roll outs, the Logitech Revue was supposed to get theirs. We are still impatiently waiting. The latest little glitch in advertising falls on Dish Network. They seem to be advertising the unit as having Android 3.1 which we all know is untrue. The same sort of snafu happened when a series of stickers were ‘mistakenly’ slapped on a shipment of the Revues to Best Buy.

Even though we know that Logitech is not in the mood to deal with the device anymore doesn’t mean they can just take their time on the update. I hope those of you that might be looking to pick one up for the simple fact of Android 3.1 and access to he market wait a little bit first. Your only other alternative is to flash a leaked version. It may work, but is not the real thing. The update for the Revue is said to be rolling out before the end of the year. That still leaves a whole month of waiting.

If Logitech was on top of things they would have realized that sales might pick up if they get the update out ASAP. Here is to hoping it doesn’t take till Dec. 31st to get started.
