Looks as though after doing some checking on the posts that are flying around the web earlier today from user “Jake Day†on XDA-Developers. The claimed ‘root’ is shaping up to be false. Apparently it was a ploy to get donations. It’s a sad day when People are trying to scam a community of wonderful people doing everything they can to share progress and work. Reminds me of the screens and posts of the HD2 running Android! Such a disappointment. My advise, don’t donate to a developer unless you actually see some progress on your own device from their work.
The good news though. Since the phone is from HTC I have no doubt that ‘root access’ will come eventually. I personally can’t wait for that day so we can see what the wonderful community can do with such a powerful superphone. Good luck to those lucky enough to posses the device already.

UPDATE: B16 Cofounder of Alldroid.org Responds to Incredible Root. It was not actually a post from Jake Day or any other affiliate of them. The true Jake Day is still working on his root and xda-developers have removed any and all donation links form the post that was published.
