MGM jumps on the Google bandwagon, 600 more titles headed to the Play Store and YouTube

It would seem that Google’s move to re-branded their services as Play has started to pay off for them. They recently inked a deal with Paramount and landed 500 titles. They have been added across YouTube and Google Play for your viewing pleasure. Today, they announced another deal that has been completed. The roaring lion of Metro Goldwyn Mayer (MGM) has now been inked in blood. The deal will bring 600 more titles to the Play Store and YouTube for us all to rent.

They say they have a;ready started the long process of adding the MGM classics to the Play Store and YouTube, with all of the titles they have acquired to be available over the next couple of weeks.

This is another great signing deal for Google and for us. While I may not be the biggest fan of renting a movie, I have done so a time or two. Whats your favorite MGM film out there. Was it Rocky? Robocop, or maybe you are a Terminator fan? While the classics are great to have available at your finger tips, I wonder if they were able to lock down anything new. I’d like to see 21 Jump Street hit the Play Store eventually. Now if they would just let us buy the title for a reasonable price. I suppose that defeats the purpose of continued income though.
