Microsoft Office apps for Android will soon allow integration with other third-party cloud apps

For some, the integration of Dropbox with Microsoft Office apps streamlined life, both personal and professional. While it was certainly a good move, there are plenty of other cloud storage solutions out there that people use beyond Dropbox. Box is a prime example of one that is easily more geared towards business users. A communication post on the Office Blogs relays some tantalizing information that will make it possible for third-party cloud providers to start offering integrated solutions, like Dropbox did, to the Office apps.

Box will obviously be making their cloud service available inside the office apps, and already have it on iPads and iPhones as of today. Others on the list include Citrix and Salesforce. Microsoft is looking for other partners to bring more diversity to the line-up through their Cloud Storage Partner Program. While not available just yet, it is a bit reassuring that additional services will soon find their way into the Office apps that many still rely heavily on. After all, Google Docs is great, but there are still plenty that have no idea how to use it as effectively.
