Mobile game download record set by Temple Run 2

Temple Run 2 Imangi Studios
The world was excited when Temple Run 2 made its global appearance. With in 13 days of its launch, Imagni Studios clocked in over 50 million downloads of the game. Temple Run 2 hit over six million downloads in 24 hours on Apple appstore and hit the #1 slot for free games. It is still currently sitting n the #1 slot on the Google Play Store and holding solid for the last few days.

“Temple Run has evolved into something so much bigger than us,” says Keith Shepherd, co-founder of Imangi. “The game has performed beyond our wildest dreams, and we are thrilled that gamers and fans have embraced Temple Run 2 in such a short period of time.”

The last record-breaking game to hit the world was Angry Birds Space. With its claim to fame pulling in over 50 million downloads in 35 days. Sorry Rovio, you lost your title and not by a close call at all. Temple Run 2 decimated your record. It could have been different for Rovio had the main version of Angry Birds Space been free on iOS instead of $0.99. Maybe next time guys. To Imangi Studios though, we congratulate you on your success.
