“With this announcement, the MOGA Power Series Pro will be the first mobile game controller to feature rumble,†explains Eric Bensussen, President and Co-Founder of PowerA.  “Working with world-class partners like Immersion is one of the ways MOGA maintains its leadership position in the mobile game controller industry.  The response to our existing MOGA controllers has been fantastic, and we believe the next step is to enable developers to incorporate tactile effects, bringing immersive rumble feedback to mobile games. We’re pleased to be working with Immersion to bring that capability to developers creating MOGA Enhanced games.â€
Our team will have a chance to check out just how ‘immersive’ the rumble feedback turns out to be. I do however remember playing around with some of their technology in a few demos and once on the Pantech Element. At that time it was pretty amazing how realistic the screen could feel, even though it was flat and smooth, with their technology using the motor that makes your device Vibrate.
The inclusion of this ability will only make gaming that much more fun when you get shot, blown up or are riding in a vehicle. Of course it will be up to the game developers to implement the ability in their games. Luckily, the SDK for MOGA is already available.
