Ah, the beloved Gingerbread! We keep hearing through the grapevine that Gingerbread will boast some nice UI changes. But we would all like to know which ones, correct? Although I can’t be a saving grace and provide all the details of what is to be expected in the upcoming Gingerbread UI, we have received some information via AndroidCentral which states all bitmaps will load in true 32 bit color.
So you’re probably wondering what this does for you, right? In a nutshell it will make your window animations, screen transitions, drawing, and rendering smoother and more crisp. No more pixelated looking images. Although this is a nice feature, let’s just hope Google has a lot more up their sleeves for this new UI.
So what are you waiting for, Google? Let’s get this new UI out.
